About JD “Analitico”
I’m Chris Diaz—known creatively as JD “Analitico.” I’m a husband, father of three, and creator building alongside a full-time career.
My work spans music, videos, and writing, but the question underneath it is the same: how do we make room for what matters while meeting the responsibilities of everyday life?
That question grew through basketball, making music, raising a family, and learning how to keep creating with limited time. This is where I share that journey—and what I’m learning along the way.
Where it began
I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and raised in New York City. Sports shaped much of my early life, especially basketball, while music was always close by.
I remember how Michael Jackson’s Thriller made me feel as a kid. Later, artists like Vico C, Tego Calderón, Héctor el Father, and Don Omar drew me into the underground movement that helped shape reggaeton before its mainstream breakthrough.
I was also fascinated by the piano. During college, I began learning the instrument and studying music theory. That curiosity eventually led me into digital music production—first experimenting with Fruity Loops, then working in Logic.
Seeing someone create a reggaeton track on early YouTube made the possibilities feel tangible. I started saving for equipment and learning how to turn the sounds in my head into music of my own.
From making music to sharing the journey
In late 2012, my longtime friend Josue Cedeño, known artistically as Zonambulo, and I founded Insomnio Music Records, La Compañía.
Being an independent creator meant learning much more than how to make a track. There were ideas to finish, decisions to make, releases to organize, and people to reach. The creative work and the responsibility for moving it forward belonged to us.
Through #AnaliticoDaily, I began sharing that experience. Alongside music, I explored discipline, persistence, personal growth, and the choices we make with our time.
Those conversations became a larger part of my creative life. Music remained an outlet, while videos and writing gave me other ways to share what I was experiencing and connect with people navigating their own ambitions.
Freedom by Design
My original biography carried the phrase “Discipline = Freedom.” That idea still matters to me, but my understanding of it continues to grow.
With a family, a full-time career, and creative projects, effort alone isn’t enough. I have to decide what deserves my attention, what can wait, and how to follow through without letting the work consume everything else.
That is the thinking behind Freedom by Design:

Know what matters to you. Build habits and systems that support it. Create useful work that can continue providing value beyond the time spent making it.
I’m developing JDOS as a practical way to apply those ideas to my own life and work. It connects my projects, helps me organize decisions, and supports the follow-through that creative ideas require.
The aim is more choice: in how I spend my time, what I create, and how I show up for the people I love.
Building alongside you
I’m sharing from the middle of the journey. There are things that work, things that need to change, and plenty still to learn.
The music, videos, writing, and systems are different expressions of that same pursuit: creating something meaningful while building a life with intention.
